A HEARTFELT THANK YOU
to George & Delores Riley
It is often said that success is built upon the shoulders of giants on which we stand. For Detroit PBS, George and Delores Riley exemplify that saying.
In 2005, the late Chairman of the George F. and Delores M. Riley Foundation committed $5 Million to the Because Minds Matter campaign, which included facilitating the transfer of ownership of the Clover Communications facility to Detroit PBS. Thanks to George and Delores, Detroit PBS called the Riley Broadcast Center home for over 15 years, and within it, built the pillars of service on which we stand today.
The Rileys' generous support in the form of the Riley Broadcast Center laid the foundation for our organization. The recent sale of that building propelled us significantly closer to our thirty million dollar fundraising goal for the new campus. They will forever be the Giants on whose shoulders we stand – and in recognition of their generosity, Detroit PBS airs an annual program highlighting a philanthropic priority of the Riley Family.
