COVID-313 Community Coalition Virtual Town Hall Week 9

Each Thursday at noon, the COVID313 Community Coalition for Families and Students host a virtual townhall focused on supporting parents, students, and families during the Coronavirus outbreak.

While coping with the COVID-19 crisis, the Detroit child advocacy group Hope Starts Here reminds us about the Six-A-Day Plan urges parents to engage young children. Those six: encouragement, talk, reading, hugs, singing and play. Hope Start Here Outreach Coordinator Theresa Mitchell explains there’s more to be done to help kids while we shelter in place.
