Fighting Anti-Asian Hate

Ceena Vang has taken the lead as Detroit area Asian Americans find ways to deal with the recent incidents where Asians are victims including the Atlanta spa shootings.

In a matter of days after the shooting, Vang, a Hmong American born here and 2012 graduate of Troy High School, helped organize the first rally in Detroit.
One Detroit learns what motivated her to start her activist group Whenever We’re Needed and what she hopes to accomplish.
