It’s the weekend before Halloween and Southeast Michigan has plenty of spooky events to enjoy. There’s the Hush Haunted Attraction in Westland, Nightmare on Groove Street in Detroit’s North Rosedale Park neighborhood, and Halloween Science in Bloomfield Hills. Plus, there’s a handful of music performances to enjoy, including a masquerade evening with Detroit Opera’s resident artists, a performance from the Vitamin String Quartet, and more. See what’s coming up this weekend around the region on “One Detroit Weekend.”
Upcoming Events:
- The Stamelos Gallery Center at the University of Michigan-Dearborn presents the exhibit “Four: Lester Johnson’s Selected Works” through Dec. 8.
- The Haunted House Detroit in Westland hosts the Hush Haunted Attraction through Nov. 2. The haunted attraction offers four different opportunities to be scared.
- The North Rosedale Park Community House hosts Nightmare on Groove Street on Oct. 25, featuring music from Zosette and the Groove and Patio Heroes.
- The Vitamin String Quartet will perform the music of Taylor Swift, “Bridgerton,” and more at the Flagstar Strand Theatre in Pontiac on Oct. 25.
- The Detroit Mercy Theatre Company presents its production of “Witch” Oct. 25-27 and Nov. 1-3 at the Marlene Boll Theatre in Detroit.
- The Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills hosts its Halloween Science event on Oct. 26-27, featuring kid-friendly activities like a “wicked weather” program, a pumpkin launch and more.
- Candlelight Concerts presents “Candlelight Halloween: Best Horror Movie Soundtracks” Oct. 30 at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, featuring the Kalkaska String Quartet.
- The Detroit Opera hosts “A Masquerade Evening: A Opera Soirée with the Detroit Opera Resident Artists” at The War Memorial in Grosse Pointe on Oct. 30.
