Old School Deli Update

One Detroit’s Bill Kubota talked to Steve Morse, owner of the Old School Deli in Roseville, this past Wednesday, March 18. One Detroit recently filmed an episode there. He’s the guy who makes his own pastrami.

Morse talks about how he’s stayed open to provide take-out orders.

He supports the Governor and thinks her efforts are a good start to slow the spread of the virus.

He gave us a quick look at how his operation works now…a single table for customers to pick up their orders, just a few let into the otherwise empty restaurant at a time.

We also update his situation in the video. Earlier he told us he’s closing it all down at 4pm on Wednesday. He called the county health department and heard there are a few restaurants closing down. He hopes others will follow suit, soon.
