This weekend, take in the sights and sounds of metro Detroit at events like the Ann Arbor Bicycle Film Festival and the Metro Detroit Record Show. Plus, satisfy your taste buds during Milford Restaurant Week and feel the roar of engines at the 72nd Detroit Autorama. Plus, catch performances like the musical “Parade” at the Fisher Theatre and the band Hinder’s Back to Life Tour at District 142 in Wyandotte. One Detroit contributors Peter Whorf and Cecelia Sharpe of 90.9 WRCJ share some events taking place around the region this weekend.  

Upcoming Events:  

  • The 72nd Detroit Autorama takes place Feb. 28 – March 2 at Huntington Place in Detroit. The event features over 800 custom cards, trucks and motorcycles; celebrity appearances; a mega morph transforming robot and more.  
  • The Motor City Tattoo Expo comes to the Renaissance Center in Detroit Feb. 28 – March 2. The show includes hundreds of artists, seminars by industry leaders, contests and more. 
  • The 2025 Ann Arbor Bicycle Film Festival takes place at the historic Michigan Theatre on March 1. The film festival features short films that celebrate bicycles.  
  • Multi-platinum alternative rock band Hinder brings its Back to Life Tour to District 142 in Wyandotte on March 1. The concert also features Saliva and Kingdom Collapse.  
  • The Metro Detroit Record Show is happening March 2 at the Monaghan Banquet Center in Livonia. The event includes more than 50 sellers selling vinyls, CDs, posters, cassettes, T-shirts and other memorabilia from a wide variety of genres.  
  • Milford Restaurant Week takes place through March 2 and features special deals and drinks from 10 local restaurants including Black Label Tavern, Lei Ting’s Blue Pearl, Novella’s Pizza, Smoke Street BBQ and more. 
  • Broadway in Detroit presents “Parade” at the Fisher Theatre in Detroit through March 9. The musical follows newlyweds as they deal with the husband being accused of a heinous crime.  
  • The Longway Planetarium in Flint is showing the children’s film “Legends of the Enchanted Reef” through May 11. The film blends entertainment with education to share a message about the impact of ocean pollution.
